25 YEARS OF MISSION-CRITICAL Infrastructure and Site Management

Retention Starts Here

Skilled trades are facing shortages nationwide, and the shortage is worst in the rural markets where data centers are being built. Getting a crew to a remote site is hard. Keeping them there for a multi-year build is harder.

Most projects cover the housing gap today with hotel blocks or per diem. Those costs add up fast, and they don’t solve the real problem: an hour-long commute never builds any connection to the job site, and every worker who leaves mid-project costs time and money.

Modern Camps for Skilled Workers

Media coverage has started calling large temporary workforce housing developments near data center sites “AI man camps,” and not as a compliment. The traditional model: rows of dormitory trailers and shared bunks, was built for a different era of construction. A data center build runs two to five years, not a few months, and includes higher-skill trades and engineers who expect housing that goes beyond the basics.

The Old Model

  • Built for a defined season, then torn down
  • Shared bunks, minimal amenities
  • Food subcontracted to whoever's cheapest
  • One more vendor in a stack of subcontractors

The FRG Model

  • Built for multi-year occupancy, from the ground up
  • Rec rooms, common space, and connectivity designed for retention
  • Self-performed kitchens, certified staff, on-staff dietitians
  • One point of accountability for the whole site

Who We Are

Frontier Response Group has run high-stakes field operations for 25 years: deploying quickly, managing complex logistics, and keeping people housed, fed, and safe. Those same capabilities now support data center construction and mission-critical infrastructure, with depth in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas, the same corridor where a growing share of new data center capacity is being sited.

Proven Track Record

Over the past quarter-century, Frontier Response Group has conducted operations across the United States and beyond. See a few select stories here.

Mercy Hospital Emergency Operations

Mercy Hospital, Joplin — 11 months on one site, FRG’s longest continuous deployment.

Center Point Energy

Hurricane Harvey, CenterPoint Energy — 2,100 people served in 2017, FRG’s largest single deployment.

OGE Emergency Operations

OG&E — 24 deployments with one utility over more than two decades.

Who Chooses FRG

FRG has worked with many of the same clients for more than twenty years. Clients don’t rehire a vendor unless that vendor delivers.

What We Do

Multiple capabilities, coordinated by one operator. You’re not managing six separate vendors to keep a site running.

Workforce Housing & Amenities

FRG designs and manages workforce housing built around your project’s needs, timeline, and location. Some projects need rapid-deployment lodging; others need a longer-term housing solution. Either way, we coordinate the right setup through our direct operations and vendor network, so your crews thrive in a comfortable, well-run place to live for the life of the project.

Culinary Services

Most camp catering comes from companies that learned food service as an add-on to housing. FRG came at it the other way. The people running our kitchens came out of a restaurant group that fed paying customers every day, where a bad plate costs you a table and a bad month costs you the location. That standard travels to the field: real kitchens rather than reheat lines, meals cooked fresh and served on schedule, staff who carry food certifications and have cleared background checks, and dietitians on staff for crews with restrictions or medical requirements.

Regional Depth. National Reach.

FRG has run operations across the central United States for decades, including many of the same rural corridors where data center construction is concentrated today. When the work is somewhere remote, that’s exactly where we go.

Regional deployments include Ada, Ardmore, Checotah, Chickasha, Durant, El Reno, Enid, Midwest City, Muskogee, Norman, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Woodward, Oklahoma; Fort Smith and Russellville, Arkansas; and dozens more across Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas.

Storm and disaster response experience includes Hurricanes Beryl, Florence, Francine, Gustav, Harvey, Ike, Katrina, Laura, Nicholas, Rita, Milton, and Helene, plus widespread ice storm, tornado, and flood response.
